This adorable, hand felted kangaroo is made in a fair trade women's cooperative in Guatemala out of felted wool on a wire frame.  Each kangaroo is carrying a baby in her pouch.

Approximately 6" tall.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS

The women who make our felted animals live in the highlands of Guatemala.  Felting is a new Guatemalan craft and the products have been so popular that the cooperative employs more and more women every year.  They receive fair wages and are learning computer and other business skills.  In the above photo the artisan is enjoying reading facebook messages that her fans have posted.
