This gorgeous table runner was handmade by stitching together up-cycled saris using the traditional kantha embroidery technique. Lightweight and festive, each table runner is completely unique with an artful patchwork design on one side, and a single sari design on the other. Handmade tassels complete the look on both ends.  They're so beautiful they can also be hung on the wall.

Each measures approximately 13 x 70"; 100% cotton; Hand wash.

All of our products are shipped with cards containing information about fair trade and the corresponding artisan group.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This textile was hand quilted in rural West Bengal, India by women who learned it from generations of family members who have passed down the craft. They use up-cycled saris and the traditional kantha stitching technique to create truly re-purposed and functional works of art. They're paid well and have been able to improve their lives through partnerships with Fair Trade businesses.
