ABOUT THE ARTISANS

This item was handmade in a small, family-run cooperative in Bali.  The artisans skillfully dye and knit each piece, creating contemporary designs while using traditional techniques.  The women are paid excellent wages and have seen their lives greatly improve through fair trade practices.  The cooperative also provides income to local schools to improve education for children.
